Went to Bristol for a couple of days- whilst I was there I visited Spike island's exhibition of Ways of Attaching by Rosemary Mayer - I was drawn to the drapery the layering of different weights of the fabrics and how the colours blend into each other.
This is a close up of one of her Rabbit glue pieces from the 1990s - I liked the kind of decomposing goriness of it. It made me want to be more bold in my work - using more unusual materials.
I photographed more examples of artists using unusual materials - it reminded me of the rabbit glue, they created the same feeling of unease - this kind of melted decomposed gross texture.
