Studio Practice plaster printing

Had a workshop in ceramics, we were making plaster cast disks in preparation for our Newstead exhibition. First we rolled out a slab of clay and then rolled a selection of plants  and lace into the clay ( although my plants from Newstead had very much died died at this point) . Then placed cardboard tubes over sections of the clay sealed up the sides and poured the plaster in.

I didn't really think about where placed the plants, I just enjoyed rolling them into the clay
ripped off small sections of flowers and leaves, layering them on top of each other.
Unfortunately using delicate petals and lace samples didn't translate well in plaster- lost some of the detail definition, felt a bit overcrowded, I think they'd make good stamps, you'd get some interesting marks.
